These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Octo ("Service"), operated by the Octo team ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
Octo is a personal productivity application that helps you manage tasks, habits, and daily information. We provide it as-is. We may update, improve, or discontinue features at any time.
You own the tasks, notes, and data you create in Octo. We do not claim any ownership over your content. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and process your content solely to provide the Service to you.
You agree not to use Octo to:
Octo uses Claude, an AI assistant by Anthropic. When you interact with the AI chat, your tasks and any bio information you provide are sent to Anthropic's API. You should not share sensitive personal information (financial data, passwords, medical records) in the chat or task fields. AI responses may be inaccurate — do not rely on them for critical decisions.
You may create share links that allow others to send tasks to your inbox. You are responsible for how you distribute these links and the content submitted through them. Revoke links you no longer need.
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, experience outages, or discontinue the Service with reasonable notice. We are not liable for any loss resulting from downtime.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or available at all times. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data or profits.
You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.
We may update these Terms. We will update the date at the top. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.
